To those that elevated auto design, we dedicate our bags.
Born in homage to the skilled people who crafted functional and design-centric body lines of cars decades ago, Carma® Gearbags help car owners properly maintain and show their beloved classic. But there’s even more to the Carma story. We make our bags with salvaged upholstery remnants found in America’s trim shops, creating beautiful, upcycled bags from material destined for the landfill.
Carma. In homage to a classic era.
Like the beautiful automobiles that have captured our imagination for generations, Carma Gearbags are made to demanding standards. Every Carma product is sewn by hand, right here in the USA, under strict guidelines for detail and finish. For durability, we use heavy-duty thread, solid metal hardware, and large, smooth-pull zippers. And we reinforce stress points. So, a Carma Gearbag really is a bag above. It will serve its owner, reliably, for years.
It’s like a racing stripe for your soul.
Carma Gearbags help you organize and get the most from your classic car experience, whatever you need to carry, in a stylish, period-accurate representation of a classic design. Most of the salvaged materials we find are vintage and rare, so many of our designs are made in limited runs. That’s the thing about a classic -- there just aren’t many of them out there.
Whether you show your car, or just drive it.
Carma Gearbags help auto enthusiasts properly maintain their car’s appearance, whether for show display or everyday use, increasing their pride in ownership and satisfying their desire for ecologically-responsible products. And we’re helping trim shops reduce their stores of unwanted material. Win win.
Genuine American craftsmanship.
Shifting Our Thinking.
The US adds tons to landfills every single day, recycling or composting less than 35% of its solid waste, according to Entrepreneur.com. Other countries are far ahead. Sweden, for example, recycles or incinerates more than 95% of all solid waste. It’s time to shift our throwaway mindset, and reduce what we dump in the ground. We’re starting with bags.
